Camp Scholarships Top 2010 Highlights
Thanks to the continued support of our sponsors and our new donors, Shaken Baby Prevention, Inc., was able to provide numerous camp scholarships during the final quarter of 2009 and the first two quarters of 2010. We are so thankful we have been able to help so many given the cuts for autistic children and teens in Maryland and the present state of the economy. With your support, our public service announcement, Shaking a Baby Shatters Lives, will launch soon on buses in numerous cities in the US. The PSA boosts visits to www.sbsprevention.org and the billboard was visible in Manassas for 4 months.

Community Activist Makes a Difference in Manassas
The Founder and Executive Director of Shaken Baby Prevention is Catherine Sanders. Shaken Baby Prevention, Inc. is a very special 501(c) (3), established in honor of Sanders' son, Ryan, a shaken baby victim and survivor (www.sbsprevention.org). "Raising a child with special needs has shown me how difficult it can be to ensure your child has everything needed for a full life," Sanders says. She is a member of the Shaken Baby Council, a national organization for SBS prevention and stricter sentencing for offenders. Sanders founded the national billboard campaign, Shaking A Baby Shatters Lives. "Cathy Sanders has been a champion, and she's had an everyday reminder of what can happen to someone you love." (Washington Post, 12/28/00)
Shaken Baby Prevention, Inc. is a proud member of the PWC-GM Chamber of Commerce. We received that group's Shelley Krasnow Community Service Award in 2005 and have been nominated every year since.
